This policy explains what personal information NumberVeil ("we", "us", "our") collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We are committed to handling your information carefully and lawfully, and to collecting only what we genuinely need.
NumberVeil is a sole-trader business operated by [Glenn Parry], based in the United Kingdom. We are the "data controller" responsible for your personal information.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at [email protected].
For a free reading: your given (first) name, and your email address if you choose to provide it.
For a paid report: your full birth name, your date of birth, and your email address. These are needed to calculate and deliver your reading.
Payment information: payments are handled entirely by PayPal. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a PayPal reference, but we never see or store your card or bank details.
Technical information: like most websites, our server keeps basic logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit) for security and to keep the site running. We use one essential "session" cookie so the site can remember your details as you move between pages.
Under UK and EU data-protection law we must have a "lawful basis" for using your information. Ours are:
We do not send marketing emails. If we ever introduce them, we will ask for your clear consent first, and you will be able to opt out at any time.
The personalised wording in your paid report is generated with the help of a third-party artificial-intelligence provider, Anthropic (based in the United States). To create your reading, your name and date of birth are sent to Anthropic and used only to generate the text of your report. As this provider is based outside the UK, it involves an international transfer of your data, covered by the safeguards described in section 11.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We share it only with the trusted services we need to run the business:
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so.
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. We keep our use of cookies to a minimum:
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the site may not work properly without the essential one.
We keep records of paid orders (including your name, date of birth and email) for up to six years, as we are required to retain transaction records for UK tax and accounting purposes. Free-reading details are kept only briefly and may be deleted at any time. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see your rights below), subject to any records we must keep by law.
If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
If you are a resident of California or another US state with privacy laws, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request a copy, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising or any other purpose, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). To make a request, email [email protected].
Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and our paid report is for purchasers aged 18 or over. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Some of our service providers (such as Anthropic, PayPal and our email provider) may process information outside the UK — for example, Anthropic processes your name and date of birth in the United States to generate your report. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards required by UK data-protection law are in place to keep your information protected.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. Please check back occasionally.
